Bangladesh has a land area of only 147570 Square Kilometer. She has been surrounded by India from East, West and North & on the South there is The Bay of Bengal. According to some historical evidence, the history of Bangladesh is about 3000 years old. In the modern time she has been ruled over almost 150 years by the British along with India & Pakistan. Actually became independent in 1947 as East Pakistan but an unfortunate 24 years oppressive ruling has to bear by the West Pakistan (Present Pakistan). Finally, Bangladesh became independent on 16th December, 1971.

Bangladesh is a country crisscrossed by hundreds of rivers. Most of the land area is plain and moist. A portion of hilly area is also noticeable. The country is full of enormous number of natural & historical beautiful places which we will find in the later part of this article.
